Email messages not received problems - Spam filter settings
When you register online or when you place an order, we ask for your email address. Normally an order is automatically confirmed by return email to the address given. We may also need to contact you at the same address. If you haven't received anything, there could be a possibility that you either submitted an incorrect email address, or you or your ISP might have software (e.g. Spam Arrest - AOL users) installed, protecting you from Spam messages. You need to tell this type of software to accept and not reject incoming messages from our company, we cannot do this for you.
Note November 2008: toypost.co.uk emails to comcast.net users recently all come back as undelivered, this is very annoying and unfortunately beyond our control.
Pop Up blockers
A good pop-up blocker will not interfere with our website. It has been tested with several different popup-blockers, showing no problems. We use popup windows when you click for some help texts or information lists.
If you still cannot see everything correctly, adjust the settings of the popup-blocker to temporarily disable the blocking or by adding our web address to your list of safe sites, see below.
Browser compatibility
Our site is tested with Internet Explorer, Mozilla/Firefox, Netscape, Opera & Safari browsers. Mac users (especially browsing with Safari) might experience mis-alignment of some details or images. It is advised to use the latest browser version to avoid any problems.
Java Script
The site uses Java Script and unfortunately non Java Script users will encounter problems with either ordering or using some of the site's functions.
Cookies
Cookies are used to store each visitor's identity, allowing for automatic log in when re-visiting the site. The cookies procedure makes online purchases possible and the use of the site faster and easier. If cookies are not accepted, ordering goods is not possible.
Screen resolution
Our site is built with the idea that most visitors use 17 inch monitors, ideally with a resolution set to 1280x1024 pixels. The minimum resolution we recommend is 1024x768 and although the width of the webpages is 850, some supersized images are over 1024 pix wide. If you use an 800 pixels wide resolution it is inevitable that you have to scroll from left to right, or up and down all the time.
Firewall settings
If you experience problems with placing your order this might be caused by security software on your computer (e.g. Norton, McAfee or ZoneAlarm). Please add http://www.toypost.co.uk and https://www.toypost.co.uk to the list of trusted domains. Using Windows XP, in Internet Explorer, this is done under Tools -> Internet Options: Security tab -> Trusted sites -> click the 'Sites' button. Note that the 'Require server verification (https:)..."'box must not be checked.
